We are governed by a board of Trustees with a wealth of varied experience in international development, fundraising, charity finance, and commerce. The board meets quarterly and is responsible for agreeing our strategy, ensuring financial accountability and best practice in governance, and deciding upon the allocation of funds to our partners in Africa based upon the recommendations of our projects team.

PHIL WALL, CO-FOUNDER & TRUSTEE, VOLUNTEER
Phil is one of our Founders, along with his wife Wendy, and as an experienced executive coach, brings invaluable strategic and creative input to the team. He is always networking with potential supporters and looking for innovative new ways to raise money for WeSeeHope following the huge success of the ‘1010 Challenge’.
WENDY WALL, CO-FOUNDER & TRUSTEE, VOLUNTEER
Wendy is one of our Founders, along with her husband Phil, and was instrumental in the ‘1010 Challenge’ which raised £2 million and led to the formation of the charity. Wendy brings a wealth of experience to the team and is a member of our Project Sub-Committee, offering guidance on the strategic planning and monitoring of our projects.
MARK GLEN, CEO
Mark is the CEO of WeSeeHope and is responsible for the overall strategy, governance, finance and operation of the charity. Mark works closely with the UK fundraising team and many of the charity’s corporate supporters. Mark also supports WeSeeHope’s Africa Director with monitoring and evaluation of projects through regular visits to our project partners located across Southern and Eastern Africa.

OSWALD MALUNDA, AFRICA DIRECTOR
Oswald is based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and manages WeSeeHope’s project partnerships across Southern and Eastern Africa. He has over twenty years of hands on community development experience in Africa and is a social worker by training. Oswald’s enthusiasm and signature chuckle brighten up the WeSeeHope office whenever he comes to visit.
CERIE KENNEDY, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Cerie is responsible for the financial management of the charity. She works closely with Mark and the Trustees to ensure that WeSeeHope runs smoothly with all the challenges of unpredictable income streams and fluctuating exchange rates.

KATHERINE CHELSOM-PILL, SENIOR FUNDRAISING MANAGER
Katherine manages WeSeeHope’s fundraising events and community fundraising. She is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships and relationships with schools, churches, community groups and enthusiastic individuals. She plays a key role in inspiring people to support WeSeeHope.

SHEILA IMMACULATE KENGINGO, COUNTRY MANAGER (UGANDA)
Sheila is based in Kampala, Uganda, and is part of the project team supporting Oswald and Lizzie. She oversees our projects in Uganda, building staff capacity, monitoring activities, helping with reports and proposals, and resolving any issues. Sheila first met WeSeeHope in 2009 when she received a scholarship from us. She worked with one of our project partners for nine years before taking on her full-time role with us.

SARAH O’NEILL, VOLUNTEER
Sarah is a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist who volunteers at WeSeeHope regularly, with a focus on sports-related challenges. Sarah founded the WeSeeHope year-long fundraiser ’12in12′, finishing the year running 12 marathons in 12 days, and qualifying as our ‘go-to’ person for any sporting enquiries!
CHRISTOF MAJER, FOUNDER OF WESEEHOPE GERMANY
Christof met WeSeeHope when he took up the 1010 Challenge with 1,000 colleagues at his company’s annual conference. He was compelled to establish a fundraising arm for our work in Germany after visiting our projects on an epic cycling challenge across Malawi. He engaged Tobias Lowenthal and Gordon Salzmann to join his team, and they officially launched in 2015. www.WeSeeHope.de

JULIE WHIPPLE, FOUNDER OF WESEEHOPE USA
Through her company’s partnership with WeSeeHope, and her role as CSR Director there, Julie has travelled to see our work in Malawi and Tanzania, and rolled out a number of company-wide fundraising and engagement initiatives on our behalf. Increasingly seeing an opportunity to extend support for our cause in the US, Julie established WeSeeHope USA in 2016.
