MEET OUR TEAM
We are based in the UK, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, and have international offices in Germany and the USA.
Mark is responsible for the overall strategy, governance, finance and operation of WeSeeHope. He works closely with the UK team, whilst also supporting our Programmes team with the monitoring and evaluation of our partners and programmes during regular visits to Southern and Eastern Africa.
Based in Dar es Salaam, Oswald manages our partnerships and programmes in Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. As a trained social worker with over twenty years of hands-on community development experience, he provides extensive technical expertise and guidance to each of our partners.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Cerie is responsible for the financial management of the organisation. She works closely with Mark and the Trustees to ensure that WeSeeHope runs smoothly with all the challenges of unpredictable income streams and fluctuating exchange rates.

Lizzie oversees the management of our partners and programmes with Oswald, developing and governing our programme strategy and growth plan. She travels regularly to visit our partners to monitor and evaluate the success of our work in communities and provide technical support to each of them.

Sophie supports the overall management of our programmes, coordinating and assessing our partner’s proposals, reports and impact assessments, and analysing the information collected during programme visits. To strengthen our relationships with each of our partners, Sophie communicates regularly with them, providing day-to-day feedback and support.

SHEILA IMMACULATE KENGINGO
UGANDA COUNTRY MANAGER
Sheila oversees our seven partners who we work with across Uganda. With a wealth of development experience, she builds staff capacity, monitors programme activities, and resolves any issues as they arise. Sheila is a specialist in human and child rights, and worked with our partner, RIDE, for nine years before she came on board at WeSeeHope!
SYLVIA KADER HERRERA
PROGRAMME & FINANCE ASSISTANT
Sylvia works closely with the Programmes team, supporting them in the monitoring and evaluation of our programmes, and also provides administrative support to Cerie. In particular, she is responsible for the collation, governance and analysis of the impact data from our Village Investors Programme (VIP).
KENYA COUNTRY MANAGER
Shadrack is based in Nairobi and oversees our six partners operating in Kenya. Using his extensive experience in child rights and community-development, Shadrack builds our partners’ capacity to deliver our programmes and visits them regularly to support them. Shadrack first met WeSeeHope in July 2010 through our partner ANPPCAN Kenya and became a permanent member of the team in 2017!
HEAD OF FUNDRAISING
Heading up our fantastic Fundraising team, Katherine is responsible for the strategic growth of our income. She collaborates with our supporters through our Ambassador Programme and makes sure we are working side-by-side with our corporate partners to create the greatest impact.

Millie manages our fundraising events, from bike rides and golf days to dinners and pub quizzes. She also oversees our community fundraising, including our partnerships with schools, churches and community groups, playing a vital role in inspiring people to support WeSeeHope with her endless enthusiasm.

Jess supports the committed individuals who take on fundraising challenges for us by cycling, running, cooking, walking, skydiving…! She also manages our fundraising database, facilitates a lot of our communication with donors, and coordinates trips to our partners in Southern and Eastern Africa.

Patty manages our relationships with Trusts and Foundations as part of the Fundraising team, making sure they are well informed and updated about the impact of their support.

Ellie leads our communications and brand. She works closely with our Fundraising and Programmes team to tell stories about the children we support, inspiring our supporters and keeping them up to date with the impact of our work.

Phil is an experienced executive coach and provides the team with invaluable strategic and creative input. He is always keen to network with potential supporters and looks for innovative new ways to raise money for WeSeeHope.

We are governed by a board of Trustees with a wealth of varied experience in international development, fundraising, charity finance, and commerce. The board meets quarterly and is responsible for agreeing our strategy, ensuring financial accountability and best practice in governance, and deciding upon the allocation of funds to our partners.
Our Trustees are: Alastair Mills (Chair), Adrian Gosling, Joe Francis, Mike Adams, Peter McQuade, Rachel Madeiros-Mhende, Phil Wall and Wendy Wall.

FOUNDER OF WESEEHOPE GERMANY
Christof met WeSeeHope when he took up the 1010 Challenge with 1,000 colleagues at his company’s annual conference. He was compelled to establish a fundraising arm for our work in Germany after visiting some of our partners on an epic cycling challenge across Malawi. CHAIR OF WESEEHOPE USA
Through her company’s partnership with WeSeeHope, and her role as CSR Director there, Julie has travelled to see our work in Malawi and Tanzania, and rolled out a number of company-wide fundraising and engagement initiatives on our behalf.
