September 2024
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual Golf Day on Tuesday 17th September!
With the sun shining on the stunning Walton Heath Golf Club, it was a fantastic day to be out on their world-renowned Old Course.
Alongside a thrilling team competition, our golfers were put to the test with several individual challenges across the 18 holes. With prizes up for grabs for the longest drive and furthest putt as well as a beat-the-pro competition, there was plenty of golfing action to be had. A big congratulations to all of the winners on the day, particularly the first placed team of William Allen, Jonothan Guise, Andrew Shellard and Luke Parvin!
After completing the course, our teams headed back to the clubhouse for some well-earned refreshments and to swap stories from the day. We then sat down for a delicious carvery lunch followed by an introduction to our work from our new CEO Steve.
The funds raised from events like our Golf Day have a big impact on our work supporting some of the most vulnerable children across Sub-Saharan Africa, so thank you all for your generosity and passion towards what we do.
To top off a memorable day, we then drew our raffle which saw many of our guests go home with some incredible golf-related prizes and tasty treats.
Thank you once again to everyone who joined us this year, bought a raffle ticket, or made a donation towards our work. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
A special shoutout to team at the Walton Heath Golf Club for hosting us once again.
