Child headed households are the most vulnerable children we work with. Without a parent or guardian to care and provide for them, they are at acute risk and are in desperate need of support.
Through our innovative Child Headed Households Programme in Malawi and Uganda, we work directly with them to address the huge challenges they face in both the short and long-term.
We are delighted to publish this Impact Report – the first since the launch of the programme in 2018 – to demonstrate the monumental progress that 225 households made up of over 800 children have achieved, particularly over the last year.
